Over 800 original watercolours were produced during Nan's years on Scilly and, not surprisingly, demand always exceeded supply. Therefore, a decision was taken to produce prints of selected paintings to relieve the pressure on the artist, enabling Nan to concentrate more freely on her ideas.
Sadly, due to her most untimely death in 1995, there will be no more originals. But the Studio will remain open for the foreseeable future in the capable hands of Frank and his nephew, Stephen who is also a talented watercolour artist.
However, each year we hope to produce new prints, taken from original watercolours in private hands, with the kind permission of the owners. |
